Videogames has always been an integral part of my life. I've been playing games as long as I had gained conciousness, whether it be on a Nokia 3301, Windows XP PC, Android 4 devices, Symbian phones, etc including on modern hardware. So, in this page, I revisit my love for some of the classics I played and/or even play today.
- Project IGI
IGI games are one of a type. It's a tactical shooter with stealth being an important gameplay element. These games generally takes the player, who works for a fictional agency called IGI, on various world peacekeeping missions. They take place across various different locations and infrastrures. The player acts as a lone operative, who, without the help of anyone consistent on ground, must carefully plan his approach to the mission objectives, before vigilantly executing it while taking out any hostilities encountered on his way. All of the agency's directions are communicated wirelessly by his mission director, to whom he remains completely bounded to.
It is the first game I ever played on a PC and I still remain "religiously" attached to it. I just can't help it, it attracts me like my dream lover every single time I get reminded of it. But, as a turn of unfortunate events, the games' developer, Innerloop Studios, including the series' Intellectual Property, all went into absolute oblivion due to the high unprofitability of its second installment, IGI 2. Thus, no further advancements in the series ever happened, until 2019, which also, died off in 2023. Since then, it has been really hard for one to get a legit and fully original copy of (Project) IGI 1. So, here is a link to its disc containing the original untampered game. I hope it concludes the search for this masterpiece.
